Olivier Van Outryve
Olivier Van Outryve has been a member of the Brussels Bar since January 2002.
His practice focuses on corporate and commercial law, mergers and acquisitions, and financial services. He has extensive experience in advisory work and dispute resolution – acting before state courts and arbitration tribunals – in relation to these matters.
In corporate law matters Olivier has specific experience in joint ventures, capital operations, corporate governance, shareholders’ rights and directors’ liability.
Olivier’s commercial experience includes services, supply, toll manufacturing, license, agency, franchise and distribution agreements. He also has a particular expertise in contractual liability.
Over the years he has advised clients from all continents in many different industries, including food, textile, pharmaceuticals, financial services, insurance, broadcasting, electronics & robotics, aviation, printing, construction, engineering, consulting, and wholesale. In doing so he has gained a privileged insight in the functioning of many different business models allowing him to provide tailor-made advice.
Olivier regularly serves as an arbitrator in proceedings under the auspices of CEPANI, the Belgian Centre for Mediation and Arbitration, which is composed of business leaders, academics, corporate legal experts and lawyers.
Olivier is fluent in Dutch, French, English and German. He also has a working knowledge of Spanish.
